We urge you to send a letter or email inquiry before mailing a manuscript. Generally speaking, we are not reading manuscripts until further notice. Due to an overwhelming response, please understand Harbor Mountain Press will go through the manuscript pile as possible. Our response time is breaking some (long) records, we realize (the “we” is basically me . . . ) and we say this with some regret. Harbor Mountain Press continues to find great writing, but we are also spending much of our time promoting current titles and formalizing our non-profit status. Thank you for understanding and for your support of small press publishing. Poetry is good food. –Editor/Director, Peter Money.
If you would like to submit a manuscript for consideration, please include a self-addressed stamped envelope if you want us to return your work or correspond. As well, please enclose 1). a biography with your publication history, 2). an email address, and 3). your current phone number. And, most of all, be fearless. We regret that we cannot publish every good manuscript we receive. But we are glad to be in this together, open against all that's closed.
